WHAT THE PRESS SAY ...and no fee
involved
"She's funny and powerful, young and old, tough and vulnerable;
and her singing is dark and bright, taunting and tender, plaintive
and radiant. I love her! She's a virtuoso."
The Financial Times, UK
"She is
fantastically talented; her voice is rich, versatile, huge,
raw and quiveringly beautiful."
The Scotsman, UK
Bank of Scotland Herald Angel Award, Edinburgh Fringe Festival
"Her brilliant
timing challenging all comedians ..."
The Herald, UK,
"A lady with a big voice and a big heart, Terry Neason is a total delight.”
The New York Theatre Wire
"She has
an enormously powerful voice, but one which can also be seductively
soft. It grabs and engulfs you. You can't escape. You don't
want to." Time Out, UK
"That she is a diva there is no doubt… To say that Neason is versatile is to understate the case. She moves seamlessly from jazz to country, blues to folk; Scots-born but with perfect Irish, English and Deep South American accents to boot, Neason is a one-woman multinational cabaret."
The Independent, UK
"When God calls the blessed to Paradise on the last day, her voice will be that of Terry Neason. Both as an actress and a singer she is really rather special, an artist
whose work is to be savoured and treasured for the range, depth
and sensitivity it reveals."
The Irish Times, Eire
"She has
an amazing fluid voice with a range that defies physics. Rousing,
Stirring, Memorable." The
Edmonton Sun, Canada
"Neason is a treasure, she has the voice of an angel and a low range that will leave you awestruck.
Versatile doesn't seem to say enough."
The Journal, Canada
Terry says Thanks for the memories and top-table highlights
Delivering the 'Lassie's Reply' for the Lord Provost of Glasgow, at the Hilton. The Lord Provost's Burns Supper, with an audience of 900, makes it one of the world's biggest. Yes! so many Laddies to roast, so little time...it was magic!
Entertaining Maclay Murray & Spens at The Inner Temple, London. These lads'n'lassies know how to party...and I was blown away by one of the Partner's playing of the Bag Pipes...what a blast! (not the pipes, the evening, of course!)
Entertaining at the farewell dinner for
The President of BAUS at the Manchester Art Gallery. What a fabulous collection! The guests as well as the Art.
The Society of Scottish Lawyers in London Burns Supper at The Brewery in London...
after delivering my "Reply from the Lassies" I was consumed by love for a whole roomful of lawyers, ha! ha! strange but true.
Playing Top Dog, party nights and seeking the perfect curry take-away,
whilst on tour with the beautifully bonkers Paul O'Grady and the cast of Cell Block H the Musical:
Tom Cruise attending our first night party buffet of the play "Murder in the Cathedral" in Dublin. After meeting him, I couldn't eat.
Now there's a first!
Performing at The SECC Supper at The Caledonian Club in London.
I then munched on yummy veggie haggis and enjoyed the punchy poetry from the very merry Elspeth Murray and perfect puppetry from Richard Medrington
A night to remember in Dublin...director Jim Sheridan taking me to dinner to meet surprise guests, Peter O'Toole and Richard Harris. They both proceeded to eat most of my starter, but who cares...legendary memories are made of this!
A brilliant end of show food fight in a local Taverna with my fellow cast and crew members from the Almeida Theatre
in London.
Gently roasting the"Laddies" with her "Reply from the Lassies" speech, in the famous Tanglin Club at the
St Andrew's Society, Singapore Burns Supper bash and managed to dodge
the bread rolls magnificently :+>
After performing at a charity event, exchanging recipes and wit 'n' wisdom over dinner, with the late
HRH Princess Margaret;
Great food, wine and company, whilst entertaining for The British Council in Greece and Singapore...they even insisted on a wee private performance of their favourite tunes, at the dinner table...so I ended up with a doggy bag!
Being truly inspired by the 'Adult Learners' before entertaining them at the SALP Awards Dinner;
Breaking bread with Scotlands First Minister, whilst having a fun-time entertaining a most distinguished audience in the Highlands of Scotland,(Terry entertaining that is, not the First Minister..*cough*...moving right along...)
Having a superb evening and making lots of new chums, whilst giving a Presentation to the dynamic delegates of the SCDI Annual Forum, 'Brave Pills & Self Belief'
